I had landscape transformers with light sensors, but they are always mounted out of sight, which also means a lack of sunlight to control an auto On/Off function. The zone based auto feature seems to work really well. We will see how it works as the hours of daylight change throughout the year.
Only 4 stars because it came without instructions and I had to ask to be emailed the instructions.

This review is posted after 2 months of use to the transformer. I purchase two transformers for each side of the house. It was easy to install, configure and works without any issues. I’m only using less than 150W of load, but plan to add to it in the future. The weather proof enclosure does fade with direct UV sunlight exposure. Good transformer otherwise.

I have never written a product review before, But I have not seen a product so well suited for its purpose. The 300 watt size is perfect for most home and pro installations. 3 -12 voltage taps is perfect for most home needs, 3-15 voltages taps combined with LED MR16 bulbs will cover most any residential situation using 12-2 burial wire. Timer couldn’t be any easier to use and its built-in behind the units door visible from the front window. The unit is stainless steel and professionally designed to look good even if it should be visible on your backyard patio wall or deck. I Love what I do for a living and I Love when a great product idea comes along that make my job easier. Sorry if this comes across like a professional product endorsement but its how I feel. There are other good transformers in the market place, But these folks got it right. Hats off to Khan Tech for answering all my emails and calls!!

(I’ll be honest, I first bought this on Amazon, but after finding the company website sent order through here)
I’m a professional landscape lighting designer and my name and reputation are on the line when I do my work. For years I’ve only used the big name brands out there because I’m not going to risk my project buying a lesser known brand. But for my latest design, done for a family member, we wanted a great lighting system on a budget. This Khan Tech transformer is perfect.
This company has been around for awhile and they put quality first. This is obvious just taking out of the box. Solid build (hinge, gasket, mounting hooks, connectors), multiple timer options, and easy to set up. It’s equal or better to the major brands and a league above Home Depot or Lowes garbage. Plus, the price is half. This is my new go-to transformer.
