   This is a robustly constructed transformer. The outer box is polished stainless steel, inside is a heavy robust transformer. A timer is built in wiht an astronomic timer which you program based on your zone in the US. There are multiple posts internally to support different voltages as necessary, and there are knockoffs in multiple spaces to support bringing bundles of wires inside. The latch is lockable with a padlock, and the weather-sealing on the door looks very robust

   if there is a weakness, I’d say that the knockouts in the box are too large which will make them difficult to keep sealed against insects. They included some sort of grommet system with fingers to limit intrusion but maybe make it smaller.

   The transformers are silent (no hum when turned on), and they look attractive. I consider them a good value, even though they’re more expensive than the lumber-yard low-voltage transformers.

   I bought the 150W version and so far it is functioning as expected. Unit is very quiet as well. For my install, I hard wired it to breaker box.
   My only complaint is that the door and latch is very loose and the metal is a bit flimsy as it bent a little while I was trying to remove two of gaskets for installation
   Now to see if it lasts here in the hot Arizona sun.

   My husband keeps raving about this transformer. Come on – it’s a shiny box!
   We moved into a new house and my husband picked out this transformer. He keeps going on about how much he loves it. All I know is that I keep thinking that the porch lights are on at night because he put so many low voltage lights in the planters. The KH-SS150C is more than enough power.

   Wow! Great transformer. I needed a 15v AV low voltage which are not as common as the 12vac. I looked on Amazon and ebay and any decent transformer was WAY too expensive. But this fit my budget and the spec.
